Nora Gets Another Holiday

Hooray for Mother's Day! We had a lovely time at "anti-Caroline's" super cute apartment, we had yummy brunch and bubbly Mimosa's then we all got sweaty palms playing Wii. Goofiness reigned supreme and Avery grew a lovely head of red hair just for Mom's Day.

The Giggle Has Arrived

I mean who doesn't laugh when they look in the mirror?! Today Avery saw the "baby in the bathroom" and laughed and laughed at her reflection. It was too cute, seriously, my cold dark heart melted a little when it happened. The baby is officially the boss of me, with the giggle down she can get whatever she wants, which right now is a good swing and at least 2 fingers in her mouth. All I have to say is that we are knee deep in trouble and head over heels in love!

and apparently I can only get around to blogging once a month. So Happy Late St. Paddy's and Happy Late Easter, I hope you got Guiness filled eggs. But here are entirely too many picture of our sweet Avery, things are good here in Seattle. I'm back at the grind at work and we are settling into our "whoa we live with a baby and still have to do housework and work work" schedule, but the baby is giggling so everything must be right with the world.....

For the record Grandma Mary Fran hates hates hates the onesie in the first picture, but Avery is rock 'n roll y'all, she can't help it. And really what is more rock 'n roll then pokey dot pants and socks that look like maryjanes?

Avery has had a cold this week, sniffles and coughs and post nasal what have you. Thankfully she has kept smiling throughout so that has helped the Mom nerves.

It's sunny here so I'm gonna go to the liquor store...cause that's how we roll in West Seatown! Actually I just need some rum for valentine's day tiramisu. It's leg of lamb tonight! You all are jealous, but there will be lots of leftovers so locals are welcome to stop by!

Anatomy of a Smile

Long time no blog, eh? It's amazing how the days pass when they are filled with dietie changes, boob feedings, baby tickles and a puppy that acts like a toddler! I cannot believe little Avery El is almost 7 weeks old! Holy Crap. Baby A's newest trick is the "smile for the mommy", she really is quite good at it and her ma eats it up. As soon as she gets the giggle down I'm in big trouble. We also introduced her to the bottle the other day and of course she figured it out like she had been bottle feeding for ages, genius baby, I'm tellin' ya.

This is the trouble you can get into with a digital camera that can take 10 pictures in under 3 seconds, I give you the Avery Smile!
